SE Sports Fixtures Package — Guide

1. Package Overview

This installation package contains the full SE Sports Fixtures system bundled together for easy setup. Installing the package installs all required extensions automatically.

Included Extensions

• Component — Main fixtures management system
• Module — Frontend fixture display

2. Compatibility

• Joomla 5.x or 6.x
• PHP 8.0+
• MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.2+

3. Installation

1. Log into Joomla Administrator
2. Go to System → Install → Extensions
3. Upload the package ZIP file
4. Click Upload & Install
5. Wait for installation confirmation

4. Verifying Installation

After installing:

• Go to Components — you should see the fixtures component listed
• Go to System → Manage → Extensions
• Search for sports
• You should see both the component and module installed

5. Enabling the Module

1. Go to Content → Site Modules
2. Find the fixtures module
3. Open it
4. Set Status = Published
5. Choose template position
6. Save

6. Initial Setup Steps

Before displaying fixtures, create your data in this order:

1. Teams
2. Seasons
3. Competitions
4. Fixtures

7. Updating the Package

To update:

1. Download the new package version
2. Install it the same way as before
3. Joomla will automatically upgrade existing files

8. Uninstalling

1. Go to System → Manage → Extensions
2. Search for the package name
3. Select it
4. Click Uninstall

This removes all included extensions.

9. Troubleshooting

Package Will Not Install

• Ensure ZIP file is not extracted
• Check PHP upload limits
• Confirm Joomla version compatibility

Component Missing After Install

• Clear Joomla cache
• Refresh extensions list
• Reinstall package

Module Not Showing

• Check module position
• Ensure template supports that position
• Confirm module is published
